At Palmfolk we offer three unique experiences for you to choose from. Find the one that suits your groups interests and time-frame, and let us tailor a special event just for you.
THE SUN CLAY EXPERIENCE
Welcome along to a relaxed and creative Handbuilding session, where we will use our quality blend of Australian clay to create a sculptural or decorative work of art. There is no need for a kiln with this clay, it dries and sets perfectly in our Queensland heat. This experience is perfect for those who like instant gratification and would prefer to take their work home with them on the day. Also great for those on holidays who don’t have the ability to wait around for firing. Work made in a Sun Clay Experience will be decorative, not water-tight or food safe. All participants will be provided a wooden craft board to transport their work home at the completion of the event.

During your Palmfolk event you will have exclusive use of the studio for 3 hours, unless otherwise requested.

THE GLAZE BAR EXPERIENCE
A new take on the ever loved Paint & Sip. On arrival you will select a piece of premade pottery that has already been fired. You’ll then have the opportunity to draw your own design onto the piece, before selecting your paint colours from our beautiful custom-made Glaze Bar. Once you have painted your piece it will stay in our studio for another 2-3 weeks to be glaze fired, after which you will come back to collect your finished and functional piece of pottery with your own unique design glazed into it. These works will be water-tight and food safe.

THE FIRED CLAY EXPERIENCE
This is the ultimate Palmfolk clay and glaze creative experience. You will be given a piece of Australian earthenware clay and guided through the steps of making your very own piece of hand built pottery. Once your piece is made you will then have the opportunity to access our Glaze Bar should you wish to paint a design on your work with underglaze. Once your piece is complete it will remain here at the studio to be dried, glazed and double fired. Ready for collection in 5-6 weeks.
